One of my favorite things about Taylor’s songwriting is that you can hear her maturing through the lyrics on each new album as she gets older and has new life experiences. I think that’s a big reason why each album is always better than the last - in addition to always wanting to outdo herself, she just naturally learns and grows and then puts that growth into her craft.
